IAM Presents to ABCD Committee

August 1, 2014

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) program at Harvard University Information Technology took their show on the road August 1, 2014, in a special presentation to Harvard's ABCD Committee, a University-wide association promoting communication and collaboration on technology topics.

IAM Community Program Manager Gretchen Grozier and IAM Program Architect Tim Gleason discussed program goals and initiatives with ABCD members from across the Harvard Community, including recent developments in IAM's implementation of the SailPoint IdentityIQ provisioning system and other projects of relevance to ABCD constituents' home units.

The committee, formed in 1985, boasts more than 1,000 members from a diverse range of backgrounds, areas of expertise, and connections to Harvard, including representatives from affiliated institutions in the Boston area.

"ABCD, in its essence, represents both the end-user community and the people who are most aligned with our end users," Gleason noted. "Because of this, they're an important audience for us: They have a good pulse on what challenges end users have, they're willing to provide us with frank feedback, and we can gain a lot by listening to what they have to say."
