IAM PI-13 Sprint 5 Complete

The fifth Sprint of the 13th quarter of IAM development is complete and it included a few big updates. This sprint included the migration of the XID (Guest Account System) to the Cloud and the ability to bulk license users for Office365, a significant step in the effort to provide Office365 Opt-In functionality next sprint. The details of Sprint 5 are as follows:

  • 7 of 17 Commitments complete or deffered (41%)
    • Two Factor simplification for Alumni
    • API Expansion to accommodate privacy data
    • Stabilize IIQ Performance
    • Bulk license O365 via IIQ
    • Silverpop loader fix and migration to Cloud
    • Database for App Registrations; Modify HK Auth to use Database (Deffered)
    • Work with security to define a future AD directory structure (Deffered by Customer)
  • 10 of 17 Commitments underway (59%)
    • Writing to new central IAM database in the Cloud
    • Email Self-Service for Students
    • Planning with HMS for AD provisioning
    • Loading of data for Emergency Broadcast Tool
    • Improvement for Authentication (IDP)
    • Authentication Improvement
    • Migrate Provisioning gateway servers to the Cloud
    • Combine MIDAS helpdesk roles to improve experience
    • Midas and App Admin migrated to the Cloud
    • Plan for Authentication Environment Updates
  • Non Committed Objectives Completed (2)
    • Provision 60k XID users to Unified LDAP
    • Cutover XID app to use new Unified LDAP (objective)
  • 8 Applications onboarded to HarvardKey
  • 1028 tickets updated; 412 resolved by IAM team members
