IAM PI-13 Complete!

The thirteenth consecutive quarter of Program Increment (PI) planning is complete and with it all 17 quarterly commitments have been brought to conclusion. Sprint 6 brought several major updates including: the migration of Midas to the Cloud; and Office365 Opt-In functionality for incoming students. The O365 deliverable was only possible due to a tremendous team effort between IAM, Communications Technologies Services (formerly MCT), and our wonderful O365/HarvardKey stakeholders and is expected to bring a major improvement to how users access HUIT services. The final details of PI-13 are as follows:

  • 17 of 17 Commitments complete or deferred (100%)
    • Two Factor simplification for Alumni
    • API Expansion to accommodate privacy data
    • Stabilize IIQ Performance
    • Bulk license O365 via IIQ
    • Silverpop loader fix and migration to Cloud
    • Loading of data for Emergency Broadcast Tool
    • Writing to new central IAM database in the Cloud
    • Authentication Improvement
    • Midas migrated to the Cloud
    • Combine MIDAS helpdesk roles to improve experience
    • Email Self-Service for Students
    • Planning with HMS for AD provisioning
    • Plan for Authentication Environment Updates
    • Database for App Registrations; Modify HK Auth to use Database (Deferred)
    • Work with security to define a future AD directory structure (Deferred by Customer)
    • Authentication Improvement (IDP) (Deferred - Will be completed early in PI-14)
    • Migrate Provisioning gateway servers to the Cloud (Deferred - More work to be completed)
  • Non Committed Objectives Completed (2)
    • Provision 60k XID users to Unified LDAP
    • Cutover XID app to use new Unified LDAP (objective)
  • 52 tickets related to Onboarding Applications to HarvardKey competed
  • 10k tickets updated; 3k resolved by IAM team members
