The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, in collaboration with Harvard Library, have created a new hub for claiming, tracking, and connecting ORCID iDs to Harvard. ORCID is a free and unique persistent identifier that enables researchers to populate a profile with information defining who they are, as well as their research, publications, affiliations, awards, and grants. [Harvard ORCID Connect](https://orcid.iam.harvard.edu/) interacts with Harvard affiliates to create, collect, and store their authenticated ORCID iD and track associated permissions to access that user's public ORCID data.

You can check out the Harvard Library website's [service page](https://library.harvard.edu/services-tools/orcid) to learn more, or visit [Harvard ORCID Connect](https://orcid.iam.harvard.edu/) to create an ORCID iD or connect an existing iD to Harvard University.
